Harold is an ultra marathon runner from LeChee, AZ. He comes from a traditional Diné family and grew up running as a part of his culture. Harold's grandparents and parents told him that running would teach him a lot about life and help him endure different things throughout life. Harold was an Honorable Mention High School All American for Arizona, Division 1 Junior College Cross Country All American, and All Team American for the 4x800 indoor relays in college. He also won the Shiprock Marathon in 2015 in honor of his late father and is a three-time Boston Marathon finisher. Harold is the race director of Moccasin Running’s Canyon X Half-Marathon and Mystical Canyon Run, run entirely on Navajo Nation lands. He created Moccasin Running to bring cultural awareness for Indigenous peoples by running in traditional Navajo moccasins in events like the Boston Marathon, half marathons and even 34 mile trail races.
